- Info
Swadesh Nai Swarga began with a simple frustration: too many talented Nepalis believe their only future is a plane ticket abroad. We started SNS to prove the opposite.
Our story
The phrase we chose
स्वदेश नै स्वर्ग means "the homeland itself is heaven". It is an old sentiment with a new urgency. Other organisations have used similar words publicly, so we are deliberate about this: our identity is built on what we do, not on the phrase. Independent governance, transparent projects, published results.
स्वदेश फर्क, स्वदेश नै स्वर्ग
The problem we saw
Young people leaving. Local producers without markets. Skills leaving with the people who carry them. Culture treated as decoration rather than as an economy.
What makes us different
- Practical over ceremonial. Every project has a named owner, a budget and published results.
- Community first. Members contribute before they campaign.
- Non-political, non-religious, non-profit. Always.
Where we are today
We are forming our founding team and completing legal registration as a non-profit social organisation in Nepal. Our first flagship pilot, the Heart-to-Heart Market in Kathmandu, is in planning.
