Who we are

SNS is an independent, non-profit community organisation in Nepal, and we are still completing our legal registration. This page says plainly what we are, and what we have not done yet.

Who we are

Swadesh Nai Swarga (स्वदेश नै स्वर्ग) is an independent, non-profit, non-political, non-religious community organisation working on one idea: that Nepal itself can be a place worth staying in. We work through local enterprise, youth skills, living heritage and hands-on projects, and we publish the result of each one.

The name is an old sentiment with a new urgency, and it is not the whole of what we are. What we are is a group of people who put a named owner, a budget and a published result against everything they announce. Where we fall short of that, we would rather you hear it from us.

  • 02 Mission, vision & values The mission, the vision, the four pillars, and the short list of things we are not.
  • 03 How we work The loop from contribution to project to published result, and the safeguards we hold ourselves to.
  • 04 Team & governance Who is accountable, how the committee is formed, and where our legal status actually stands.
